A MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA December is upon us and signals the time we light up Wellwood Avenue for the holidays! The expanded “Winter on Wellwood” is a magical vision in our Downtown Business District, and our annual celebration to welcome the holiday season has grown into a festive, family-friendly, day of spectacular community fun. The Village of Lindenhurst held its annual Organization Meeting, where Trustees Patrick Pichichero, Maryann Weckerle, and David Collins were officially sworn into office by Acting Suffolk County Court Judge James McDonaugh. The ceremony marks the beginning of their new terms serving the community. During the meeting, Mayor Michael Lavorata also re-appointed Maryann Weckerle as Deputy Mayor, recognizing her continued dedication and leadership within the Village. The Village looks forward to the contributions of its elected officials as they work together to serve the residents of Lindenhurst.
