Dear Residents, Summer is just around the corner in the Village of Lindenhurst, bringing with it longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything our community has to offer. Whether you’re attending a local event, visiting our downtown businesses, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying our beautiful waterfront, there is no shortage of ways to make the most of the season. Lindenhurst Historical Society Seeks Community Photos and Videos for 25th Anniversary 9/11 Documentary

As our community prepares to mark the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Lindenhurst Historical Society is honored to begin production of a documentary that will preserve Lindenhurst’s story of that day and the years that followed. The documentary will remember the members of our community we lost, reflect on the immediate response of our residents, and tell the story of how Lindenhurst came together in the days, months, and years afterward. Rainbow Senior Center Quilting Angels Honor 9/11 Victims with Handmade Quilts

Local Spotlight
The Rainbow Senior Center Quilting Angels, led by MaryEllen Ransom, have generously donated 12 handmade quilts to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund in honor of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The quilts will be given to families during Cantor Fitzgerald’s September 11 Memorial Service, continuing a meaningful tradition of providing families with something warm and tangible to hold as they remember their loved ones. The Village of Lindenhurst thanks MaryEllen Ransom and the Quilting Angels for their time, talent, and generosity. Their thoughtful gift is a beautiful way to honor those lost and bring comfort to their families.
