Dear Residents, Although there is still some snow on the ground, Spring is just around the corner, and March is the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything our Village has to offer. From family-friendly events to seasonal activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Lindenhurst this month. This month, we have several exciting events for the whole family: Eggstravaganza – Saturday, March 14, 11:00AM-2:00PM: Enjoy games, activities, and an egg hunt for children throughout our Downtown Business District. St. Patrick’s Parade – Sunday, March 21, 12:00PM: Celebrate Irish pride down Wellwood Avenue with Grand Marshal Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

All proceeds will benefit the Lindenhurst Historical Society’s on-going stewardship of the Village’s three museums Lindenhurst, NY –Back by popular demand, the Lindenhurst Historical Society is hosting its second annual Televised Night at the Races, Saturday June 13, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Fireman’s Memorial Pavilion, 555 Heling Blvd., Lindenhurst. Admission is $15.00 per person. All are invited to attend and enjoy an evening of fun and real cash wagering. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. LINDENHURST VFW WADE-BURNS POST 7279 CELEBRATES 80TH ANNIVERSARY

Local Spotlight

The Lindenhurst Veterans of Foreign Wars Wade-Burns Post 7279 recently celebrated its 80th anniversary with an Open House event that included a special ceremony honoring the Post, its Past Commander Thomas A. Kelly, and the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst’s “Hometown Heroes” Program. On May 18, 1946, a group of 50 local overseas combat veterans established the Lindenhurst VFW Wade-Burns Post 7279. The Post was proudly named in honor and memory of Lindenhurst servicemen United States Army Corporal John M. “Jack” Wade and United States Navy Seaman First Class Edward J. Burns, who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II.
