Dear Residents, Summer is just around the corner in the Village of Lindenhurst, bringing with it longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything our community has to offer. Whether you’re attending a local event, visiting our downtown businesses, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying our beautiful waterfront, there is no shortage of ways to make the most of the season. HELP KEEP OUR CREEKS CLEAN

In the News
Village of Lindenhurst Officials have voiced concern over the amount of debris and pollutants in and along our creeks and storm drainage systems.  This on-going problem, of all types of debris, such as plastic containers, aluminum cans, glass bottles, Styrofoam, branches, grass, and leaves, entering the creeks, causes blockage and flow issues for storm water moving along the creeks, into the canals, and to the Great South Bay.  When we get one of those heavy rain storms that dumps several inches of rain in an hour or so, the storm water becomes an issue.  Our creeks and streams can fill

LINDENHURST DPW EMPLOYEE RETIRES AFTER 45 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE

Local Spotlight
The Village of Lindenhurst proudly recognized Ed Kozlowski upon his retirement after an extraordinary 45 years of dedicated service to the community. Mr. Kozlowski spent his career serving as a Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) with the Department of Public Works. Throughout his four and a half decades of service, he earned the respect and appreciation of his colleagues through his ability, diligence, and commitment to the Village and its residents. In recognition of his remarkable career, Mayor Michael Lavorata, with the unanimous support of the Village Board of Trustees, proclaimed Wednesday, July 29, 2026, as “Ed Kozlowski Day” in the Village of Lindenhurst.
