Dear Residents, As you are all well aware, on October 29 and 30, 2012, our residents were hit by a superstorm which delivered the most devastation we have ever witnessed. Hurricane Sandy ravaged our Village and our surrounding communities. LINDENHURST FARMERS MARKET NOW OPEN

Lindenhurst is pleased to announce the newest community event – the Lindenhurst Farmers Market.  The Farmers Market will be open Saturdays, 10:00AM – 1:00PM, at Village Square Park, on the northeast corner of Wellwood & Hoffman Avenues, now through November 2nd. Organized by local volunteer Darlene Fantel, the weekly event will welcome a variety of vendors selling locally-grown produce, homemade foods, baked goods, handmade crafts, jewelry and other unique items.  The market will also sometimes feature live musical performances by local music artists.  Come by and visit each week — you never know what new treasures you will find! LINDENHURST VFW POST 7279 CELEBRATES RE-OPENING

Local Spotlight
The Lindenhurst Veterans of Foreign War Post 7279 recently celebrated their re-opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony organized by the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber, along with several State, County, Town and Village officials, joined Post Commander Tom Kelly and other VFW Officers to officially commemorate their re-opening (pictured here). The Wade-Burns Post Hall, located at 560 North Delaware Avenue, had a devastating fire in September 2019, and was forced to close its doors.
