Block Party Permit – A block party application must be filled out and returned to Lindenhurst Village Hall at least two weeks prior to the date requested in order to receive a permit. The application is listed below and can be downloaded. At least 85 percent of the residents on the block must agree to the block party in order for permission to be granted.

Crabbing Permit – In order to crab at the Charles J. Cowan Village Marina, residents and non-residents must have a crabbing permit. Crabbing permits can be obtained at Lindenhurst Village Hall, 430 South Wellwood Avenue.

Food Truck Permit – A food truck permit is required for all food trucks operating in the Village of Lindenhurst. Applicants must be sponsored by business/private residence in order to conduct business in the Village. Permits can be granted on a per day or yearly basis. The per day fee is $50.00 and $200.00 for the year. Please fill out the below application and submit to Village Hall.

Garage Sale Permit – Garage sale permits can be obtained at Lindenhurst Village Hall. The fee for this permit is $10.00, which can be paid by check or cash. Please make checks payable to Inc. Landscaping License – A landscaping license is necessary for employees and contractors to perform landscaping work on private property in the Village of Lindenhurst as per Chapter 101 of the Village of Lindenhurst Code. Landscaping licenses are valid from January to December of the same year. The application for a landscaping license is listed below and can be downloaded. The application must be notarized.

Peddler Permit – A peddler permit is needed to sell goods and services door-to-door in the Village. This permit is also required for non-stationary vending vehicles. Drivers of vending vehicles must also have a Safety Training Course Certificate from Suffolk County. The application is listed below and can be downloaded.

Refuse Permit – A permit is required to engage in the business of refuse collection and/or disposal within the Village of Lindenhurst. Residents needing a dumpster on their property should make sure the company is licensed in the Village by calling Village Hall (631) 957-7500. In order to put a dumpster in the street, a resident must provide a written request to Lindenhurst Village Hall. Please see below to download the necessary refuse permit.

Resident Street Opening and Excavation Permit – A street opening permit is required when opening or making of an excavation in or under the surface of any street, avenue or highway within the Incorporated Village of Lindenhurst in accordance with Village Code Chapter 158, Streets and Sidewalks. Special Events Permit  – The special event permit is designed for businesses that want to host an event outside of their regular place of business (for example, parking lot, sidewalk, etc.)
