Rainbow Senior Center Director: Dawn Shipsey

The Village of Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Center is located within the Lindenhurst Community Center. The Rainbow Center is open to residents and non-residents.

Bus Service – There is a bus service available to Village residents only. This service provides transportation for seniors to and from the Rainbow Senior Center during business hours. For more information about the bus service, please call the Rainbow Senior Center at (631) 957-7526.

Activities – There are a number of activities available at the Rainbow Senior Center. Weekly activities include bingo, quilting classes, exercise classes, art classes and coffee, coloring and conversation club. The Rainbow Senior Center also features monthly events, such as horse racing, karaoke, movie day and luncheons. Special events and trips are always being added to the schedule, so be sure to check in with the center for updates.  For more information about scheduled activities, please call (631) 957-7526.

Meals – The Rainbow Senior Center is a nutrition site in conjunction with the Town of Babylon. Hot meals are served Monday – Thursday.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) – The Rainbow Senior Center is a host site for a national organization, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. For more information about this program, please call (631) 957-7526.
