Downtown Revitalization

Mayor's Message
During this past year, we have probably seen more progress in our Downtown Revitalization than in any prior time period. Several new restaurants have opened, and the trend doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. ST. PATRICK’S PARADE POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

In the News
Due to the safety concerns we are facing with this Saturday’s weather forecast (100% rain!), the Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade Committee has been advised to make the difficult decision to POSTPONE our parade until Saturday, March 30th @ 12:00PM.   We know that so many in our community have been busy making plans, so we can appreciate any disappointment over this news.  However, we are excited and hopeful that next weekend will bring us better weather and we can still have a successful parade! Looking forward to seeing you on the 30th! Sincerely, The Lindenhurst St. Patricks’ Parade Committee

Local Spotlight

Her idea was to create a “Kindness Wheel” – people could spin a color wheel and receive a color-coded “random act of kindness” task to perform. The Village Board thought this was a fantastic idea, and in cooperation and coordination with the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce, Kennedy set up her Kindness Wheel at the August “Wednesdays on Wellwood” street fair. At the event, over 300 people spun her Kindness Wheel, creating a positive effect in the
