A MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA Our village has experienced a year filled with significant successes. We’ve honored our history, and fulfilled promises made. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Village Administration & Staff for their hard work and dedication to our residents. 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the Incorporated Village of Lindenhurst. We enjoyed a year full of celebration and history thanks to the hard work of the 100th Anniversary Committee and the community sponsors. As warmer weather approaches and many residents begin preparing their pools for the season, the Village of Lindenhurst would like to remind everyone of an important community responsibility. It is a violation of Village Code (158-7) for both residents and commercial pool companies to pump or discharge pool water into the street. This runoff does not simply disappear—it flows into storm drains, enters local waterways (creeks and canals), and ultimately impacts the Great South Bay. Local Spotlight

The Village of Lindenhurst proudly hosted the “Loving Lindenhurst” Art Reception last night at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library, bringing together families, residents, and our Junior Mayors for a wonderful evening celebrating community pride. Attendees had the opportunity to view the many creative and heartfelt projects submitted by students, each showcasing the unique ways they love Lindenhurst. The event was a great success and a true reflection of the talent and spirit within our community. A special thank you to the Lindenhurst Memorial Library, and especially Library Director Lisa Kropp and Assistant Director Caitlin Sempowich, for their hard work and dedication
