Dear Residents, Summer is almost here, and there’s no better place to enjoy it than right here in the Village of Lindenhurst! We’re thrilled to welcome the season with a lineup of exciting events that bring our community together. Join us every Friday and Saturday evening at the Village Square for our Free Summer Concert Series – a celebration of music, community, and warm summer nights. Bring a lawn chair, your family and friends, and enjoy live performances under the stars. Sanitation Changes for September 7

In the News

Please note there will be no sanitation pickup on Monday, September 7. South of the tracks will be picked up on Tuesday and North of the tracks will be picked up on Wednesday. R1 (Monday) recycling will be picked up on Tuesday. Regular schedule will resume on Thursday. There will be no grass/leaf pick up on 9/9.

LINDENHURST DPW EMPLOYEE RETIRES AFTER 45 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE

Local Spotlight

The Village of Lindenhurst proudly recognized Ed Kozlowski upon his retirement after an extraordinary 45 years of dedicated service to the community. Mr. Kozlowski spent his career serving as a Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) with the Department of Public Works. Throughout his four and a half decades of service, he earned the respect and appreciation of his colleagues through his ability, diligence, and commitment to the Village and its residents. In recognition of his remarkable career, Mayor Michael Lavorata, with the unanimous support of the Village Board of Trustees, proclaimed Wednesday, July 29, 2026, as “Ed Kozlowski Day” in the Village of Lindenhurst.
