The United Veterans Council and the Village of Lindenhurst invite you to attend this year’s Veterans Day Remembrance Service. The event will be held at the Lindenhurst Village Square Park Gazebo (North Wellwood Avenue at East Hoffman Avenue) on Wednesday, November 11th, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Please bring a chair if you would like to sit during the ceremony.
Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “Veterans Day is an opportunity to reflect on the bravery, dedication, and selflessness of the men and women who have defended our freedoms. Their service and sacrifice are woven into the fabric of our nation, and we owe each of them our deepest gratitude. I encourage all Lindenhurst residents to join us as we honor our veterans and recognize the lasting impact they have made on our community and our country.”
In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors to the Lindenhurst Fire Department Main House (225 South Wellwood Avenue).
