Road Closure Notice for 3/25 St. Patrick’s Parade

The following roads will be closed at 10:00 AM in celebration of the St. Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 25th:
– Hartford Street (Wellwood to Irmisch)
– Irmisch Avenue (Byrd to Hartford)
– Charles Street (Hartford to Alleghany)
– North Wellwood Avenue (Hoffman to John)
– South Wellwood Avenue at Reade Avenue
– South Wellwood Avenue at Gates Avenue
– Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue (between S. 1st St. & Travis St.)
– East Hoffman Avenue and High Street

North Wellwood Avenue from (Hoffman Avenue to John Street) will remain closed until 4:00 PM.

The following intersections at North Wellwood Avenue will be closed:
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Auburn Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Bristol Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at John Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Dover Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Easton Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Fremont Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Harrington Avenue
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Gary Street
– N. Wellwood Ave. at Dekalb Avenue

MUSIC ROCKS THE LINDENHURST MOOSE LODGE

The Lindenhurst Moose Lodge 1421 hosted members and friends at a sell-out dinner and entertainment from local band, “The Mutant Kings”, fronted by Lindenhurst resident & member of the Moose, Gerry Ferretti.  The Lindenhurst Moose Lodge is about celebrating life together, and serving the Lindenhurst Community by supporting our youth, the elderly, and local food pantries. The Lindenhurst Moose Lodge also supports our children at Mooseheart, and our seniors at Moosehaven. There is always something for everyone at the Lindenhurst Moose Lodge.

LINDENHURST YOUTH CENTER RECEIVED TOB-IDA DONATION

Pictured here, Babylon Town Supervisory Rich Schaffer and Babylon Town Industrial Development Agency CEO Tom Dolan recently presented a $9,300.00 donation to help fund the Lindenhurst Youth Center. The mission of the Lindenhurst Youth Center is to provide opportunities for all our youth to become caring, responsible, and contributing members of the Lindenhurst community.

Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “I thank Supervisor Schaffer and the IDA for their generous donation to the Lindenhurst Youth Center. This is another example of the Village and Town working together to provide the best service to the residents of our mutual constituency. I would also like to thank Karla Desimini and the Youth Center staff for their ongoing hard work and dedication to the youth of Lindenhurst.”

Event Volunteers Needed!

2023 is the Village of Lindenhurst’s 100th Anniversary! The Village of Lindenhurst 100th Anniversary Committee has an exciting schedule of events planned to celebrate our centennial. We are looking for volunteers that would be interested in assisting with these events.

If you are interested in volunteering, there will be an informational meeting at the Rainbow Room, 293 Buffalo Avenue, on Saturday 12/3 at 10:00 AM. Please send an email to info@villageoflindenhurstny.gov with your name, email, and phone number if you plan to attend. All community groups are encouraged to participate and attend the meeting.

Roadwork Notice- The Village of Lindenhurst will be asphalting Delaware Avenue (from Gates to Montauk Highway) and Irving Avenue beginning on Thursday, September 29, 2022. (WEATHER PERMITTING).

Please Note: All motor vehicles must be off the streets and out of driveways, if usage is required, by 7:00 AM; the streets will be reopened in the late afternoon.

The Village will make every effort to limit your inconvenience and keep the roads passable. Please bear with us as we make these much-needed improvements to our Village.

Important Road Work Notices

Roadwork Notice – The Village of Lindenhurst was scheduled to begin milling the following sections of roadway on Wednesday September 21, 2022:

– Wellbrock Street

– Brook Street

– Shore Walk

– Lake Street

Unfortunately, due to an emergency situation involving National Grid, the work is being postponed until further notice.

The Village of Lindenhurst will be milling Beacon Avenue from Texas Street to Montauk Highway beginning on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. (WEATHER PERMITTING).
