The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning, which is in effect from 4:00 AM Saturday to 12:00 PM Sunday. The Department of Public Works is prepared to handle snow removal throughout the Village. In order for the snow plows to clear efficiently, please remove all vehicles from the street. Also, when shoveling snow from the mouth of a driveway, throw snow to the left of the driveway. Throwing or plowing snow into the road can create a patch of snow and ice, which can cause a hazardous condition.

A coastal flood warning has also been issued and is in effect from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday morning and 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM Saturday night. Also in effect from 6:00 AM Saturday morning to 6:00 PM Sunday evening is a high surf advisory. Due to these conditions, residents living in flood prone areas are encouraged to bring automobiles to a safe location. Residents will be able to park vehicles in the commuter parking lots for the duration of the storm. The commuter lots are located by the Long Island Railroad station between Hoffman Avenue and John Street.

In case of an emergency, please call 911.
