Dear Residents, As you are all well aware, on October 29 and 30, 2012, our residents were hit by a superstorm which delivered the most devastation we have ever witnessed. Hurricane Sandy ravaged our Village and our surrounding communities. But in the aftermath of the sorrow, disruption, loss of property and the robbing of almost everything that residents affected have ever had, I don’t think that I can put into words how proud I am of the residents of this Village, the many benefactors that we have been touched by, and the help and love that has been poured onto all

Winter can be tough, especially for our senior neighbors. We’re looking for volunteers of all ages to join our Shoveling for Seniors Program! Who can sign up? Volunteers of all ages, who can assist with shoveling and salting walkways and driveways. How to enroll? Seventy-five years is a long time. Seventy-five years of serving the youth of Lindenhurst is a long, proud time! The Lindenhurst Village Camp is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this summer. Founded by Edward F. Kienle, in conjunction with the Village of Lindenhurst and Lindenhurst School District, the program has been a staple of the community since 1949. When Mr. Kienle first helped establish the program, it was housed at the elementary schools in Lindenhurst. Thousands of Lindenhurst children spent their summers enjoying wholesome recreational activities, theatrical reprisals, arts and crafts projects, sit down games and countless other activities.
