CORONAVIRUS UPDATE #6 FROM MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA   May 7, 2020   Dear Village Residents:   The Governor’s Executive Order to stay home should be followed to the greatest extent possible. If you do need to go out for work, groceries, other essentials, or even just out for a “mentally essential” walk outdoors, I encourage you to continue to follow the advice of the experts – wear a mask, frequently sanitize your hands, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and maintain appropriate social distancing. LINDENHURST TO DEDICATE CENTENNIAL BELL

Lindenhurst Mayor Michael A. Lavorata & the Village Board of Trustees invite you to join them on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00AM for the dedication of the Village of Lindenhurst Centennial Bell.  In honor of the Village’s recent 100th Anniversary (1923-2023), the Village purchased the cast bronze bell from The Verdin Company, as a symbol of the Lindenhurst community’s enduring spirit and unity.  It is inscribed with the words “Celebrating 100 years of resiliency and strength in our Village – past, present, and future.”  The ceremony will take place on the lawn of Village Hall at 430 South Wellwood

Christina Renna Foundation Receives Donation

Local Spotlight
The Lindenhurst Moose Lodge recently hosted one of the Village of Lindenhurst’s Summer Concert Series shows. During the show, members of the Moose Lodge collected donations for the Christina Renna Foundation, in honor of September being childhood cancer awareness month. “No parent should hear the words ‘your child has cancer and there is nothing we can do’,” recounted Mayor Lavorata from the foundation’s website, “The Christina Renna Foundation is doing important work to get to a place where those words do not need to be spoken.” Pictured: Moose Lodge President Bridgett Ahlers, Mayor Michael Lavorata, Deputy Mayor RJ Renna, Phil
