In recent news, we have been hearing the wonderful reports about effective COVID vaccines that have been developed, tested, and will soon be administered in phases to the public.  This news is like a beautiful sunrise, coming up after a long, dark night.  With COVID case numbers currently high (Newsday reported on 12/1 that Lindenhurst Village has 850 cumulative cases; a 6.14% increase) and hospitals full, we are not out of the darkness yet, but we are seeing the first rays of sunlight. SOUTH WELLWOOD AVENUE (HOFFMAN AVENUE TO GATES AVENUE) The Village of Lindenhurst will be milling & paving this section of roadway(WEATHER PERMITTING) beginning at 7:00am on the following: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th, 2024 – Milling TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2024 — PavingPlease Note, all motor vehicles must be off the streets and out of driveways, ifusage is required, by 6:30am. Store-front parking will be unavailable, butsidewalks will remain passable for accessibility to businesses. 2025 Summer Camp Lottery Form Available Now!

Local Spotlight
The 2025 Village of Lindenhurst Summer Camp lottery application is now available. Applications can be downloaded below. Lottery applications are due back no later than February 28, 2025. Applications can be downloaded at the link above.The camp will start July 7, 2025 and continue until August 15, 2025. Camp hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Campers are grouped by age (not by school grade) in the following groups: 5-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds, and 10-14 year olds.The camp is open to Lindenhurst children who are eligible to attend the Lindenhurst School District.
