Mayor’s Message – June 2022

Mayor's Message
I want to offer congratulations to the Lindenhurst High School Class of 2022! We wish you all great success as you begin your next journey, and may you carry your “Lindy Pride” with you wherever you go!  On a sad note, however, we have to say goodbye to our Superintendent of Schools, Dan Giordano, as he begins his journey of retirement. North Wellwood Avenue Improvement Project

Local Spotlight

You may have noticed tree removal on North Wellwood Avenue. Similar to the recent upgrades on South Wellwood, these trees will be replaced with more downtown-friendly varieties – designed with root systems that won’t disrupt sidewalks and limbs that won’t interfere with overhead wiring. This marks the first phase of the project. Just like South Wellwood Avenue, sidewalks and pavers will be fully replaced, and the North Wellwood roadway will also be repaved. And as
