Lindenhurst Trustee RJ Renna announces that on Wednesday evenings, August 18th & September 1st, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, the Village of Lindenhurst, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, will host the first “Wednesdays on Wellwood” downtown block parties. North Wellwood Avenue (from John Street to Hoffman Avenue), will be closed to vehicle traffic, so residents can enjoy mingling on the street for outdoor dining, live music by UnWined, and shopping with a host of local vendors and stores. Local Spotlight

To ensure that they are safe and in good condition for residents, roads in the Village of Lindenhurst are assessed regularly by the Superintendent of Public Works. Re-paving schedules are determined by the funds that are available on a yearly basis, and the maintenance that is needed for the safety of our community. This year, the Village has utilized over $2 million of Federal, State, and Utility Company funds to resurface many roads and improve drainage throughout the Village.
