VILLAGE FLAGS AT HALF-STAFF

Mayor Michael Lavorata has requested flags to be flown at half-staff at all Village of Lindenhurst buildings and grounds in honor of the victims of Thursday’s suicide bombings in Afghanistan. 13 U.S. Troops, and nearly 95 Afghans, died in the attacks. Mayor Lavorata said, “Please pause and pray for the souls of all whose lives were taken due to these senseless acts of terror.”

Lindenhurst Announces Inaugural St. Patrick’s Day Parade

There has never been a St Patrick’s Parade in the Village of Lindenhurst, but that will change in just a few months. Lindenhurst Trustee RJ Renna and Belfast Gastro Pub Proprietor David Crowe have announced plans for the First Annual Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade to take place on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 11:00 am. The event will include numerous bag pipe bands, Irish dancers, marching units, and fire department and school marching bands. “The Parade Committee has lots of fun things planned, including a “Green Tie Affair” on March 5th. Stay tuned for more information!” said Parade Committee Secretary
