VILLAGE ANNOUNCES PROJECT AT VILLAGE PARK

The Village of Lindenhurst has announced plans for a project at Village Park (off of North Alleghany Avenue, between Byrd Street & Charles Street), which will include renovations to the tennis and basketball courts, as well as the addition of two pickleball courts. The project is expected to begin construction by the end of October. Trustee RJ Renna said, “Pickleball is a growing sport and these courts will provide a central location in our Village for residents to play this game.” Mayor Michael Lavorata added, “The two pickleball courts will be a nice enhancement to our Village Park. Mayor Michael Lavorata and Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle recently attended a holiday gathering of the Lindenhurst Fire Council. Deputy Mayor Weckerle said, “We sincerely appreciate the spirit of cooperation that exists between the Village Administration and our wonderful Fire Department.
