The Village of Lindenhurst was named 2015 Tree City USA. This is the 32nd straight year that the Village has received this designation in recognition of its urban forest management. Lindenhurst Village continues to earn this honor by making a special effort to preserve the thousands of trees lining the streets and the additional hundreds of trees located within Village Parks.
The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the USDA Forest Service and the New York State Forestry Agencies.
