VILLAGE SQUARE PARK PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OPENS Public safety in the Village of Lindenhurst Downtown Business District continues to be a top priority for the Lindenhurst Village Board. Trustee RJ Renna has stated, “Our Downtown should be a place where everyone feels safe to work, live, shop, visit, and enjoy special events.” In recent months, the Village has increased the number of Public Safety Officers patrolling the Downtown, installed additional surveillance cameras, and established a Downtown Public Safety office in Village Square Park. The Public Safety office is located next to the Gazebo, and is equipped with radios, surveillance camera monitors, and an area for residents

LINDENHURST BREAKS GROUND ON NEW DPW BUILDING

The Lindenhurst Department of Public Works (DPW) is getting a brand new facility! Ground recently broke on Phase 1 of this capital improvement project to construct a new central garage, administrative offices, along with site improvements, and demolish the old, dilapidated current DPW facility at 121 Albany Avenue. Over the years, the Lindenhurst DPW has expanded their fleet of vehicles and equipment in order to improve the many essential services the Village provides to residents. These services include sanitation, recycling, street and roadway maintenance, snow removal, parks maintenance, and horticultural conservation and beautification. As a result of the increased use,
