UPDATE FROM MAYOR LAVORATA REGARDING CORONAVIRUS

Mayor's Message
March 18, 2020   Dear Village Residents: If someone would have told me after our last Village Board meeting on March 3rd that we would be experiencing a global virus pandemic, and we would not be able to send our kids to school, or go the gym, movies, concerts, restaurants, or houses of worship, I would have replied “What?”  Yet, here we are in the middle of a crisis. ST. PATRICK’S PARADE POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

In the News
Due to the safety concerns we are facing with this Saturday’s weather forecast (100% rain!), the Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade Committee has been advised to make the difficult decision to POSTPONE our parade until Saturday, March 30th @ 12:00PM.   We know that so many in our community have been busy making plans, so we can appreciate any disappointment over this news.  However, we are excited and hopeful that next weekend will bring us better weather and we can still have a successful parade! Looking forward to seeing you on the 30th! Sincerely, The Lindenhurst St. Patricks’ Parade Committee

Local Spotlight
Lindenhurst Village Square Park was recently filled to capacity with people and excitement during the much-anticipated performance of “Totally Taylor: A Taylor Swift Tribute Act”. Part of the Lindenhurst Free Summer Concert Series, the evening featured songs from Taylor Swift’s 11 albums, custom-made colorful outfits, and well-precisioned choreography — all to mirror the glitz, glamour, energy, and sounds of Taylor Swift! Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “The concert was amazing, especially for the many young people in attendance. It felt like you were at a Taylor Swift concert! Thank you to all who attended this extra-special summer concert in our Lindenhurst
