CORONAVIRUS UPDATE #4 FROM MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA   April 14, 2020   Dear Village Residents As we shelter at home, our lives have changed.  We find ourselves in a time of waiting.  Waiting for answers.  Waiting for this virus to pass.  Waiting to get back to life as normal.  By now, most of us know of someone who has tested positive, or has passed from COVID-19.  As I write this, Newsday lists there are 289 people in Lindenhurst Village with the Coronavirus.  I continue to pray for each and every one of them for a speedy recovery, We are not

SOUTH WELLWOOD AVENUE (HOFFMAN AVENUE TO GATES AVENUE) The Village of Lindenhurst will be milling & paving this section of roadway(WEATHER PERMITTING) beginning at 7:00am on the following: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th, 2024 – Milling TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2024 — PavingPlease Note, all motor vehicles must be off the streets and out of driveways, ifusage is required, by 6:30am. Store-front parking will be unavailable, butsidewalks will remain passable for accessibility to businesses. The Lindenhurst Historical Society is the recipient of a 2024 NYSCA/Greater Hudson Heritage Network Preservation Supplies Grant

This is the second consecutive year the Lindenhurst Historical Society has garnered funding allowing the Society to acquire collection management and preservation supplies. Lindenhurst, NY – During a recent exhibit-organizing work session at the nearly renovated Old Village Hall Museum, Lindenhurst Museum Director Marianne Guglieri and Lindenhurst Village Historian Anna Jaeger paused to demonstrate how newly acquired collection management supplies will expand and improve the Lindenhurst Historical Society’s conservation and preservation supplies and practices. This is the second consecutive year the Lindenhurst Historical Society successfully garnered a NYSCA/Greater Hudson Heritage Network Preservation Supplies Grant.
