September 23, 2020 Dear Village Residents: With all the news of the Coronavirus crisis, it would be easy to forget that experts are calling for an active tropical storm and hurricane season. Tropical Storm/Hurricane Season began June 1st and will last until November 30th, but the peak of the season will be in our area throughout September and October. In anticipation of this evening’s rain, the event time has changed and is now 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We look forward to an exciting evening in the heart of the downtown celebrating the close of one year and the start of another great one in our Village! There will be live music, entertainment, free giveaways, and more! The NYE ball will drop at 8:00 PM.

Mayor Michael Lavorata has announced that the Arbor Day Foundation has again named the Village of Lindenhurst, NY, a Tree City USA community for its commitment to urban forestry. “We are pleased and honored to be given this designation from the Arbor Day Foundation for the 36th year”, stated Mayor Lavorata.
