A MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA With the current predictions of Tropical Storm Elsa heading towards Lindenhurst, I think it is appropriate to remind our residents to be prepared. Here are some important tips to keep in mind for your planning: If a tropical storm, or hurricane, hits and power is interrupted, residents should be prepared to shelter at home. At minimum, everyone should have on hand: o 3-days of food o 7-days of medication o 3-gallons of drinking water per person o LED flashlights o A battery-powered AM radio.  Make sure to have extra cash on hand if

In the News
In anticipation of the expected high winds overnight and tomorrow, we advise all Village residents to take necessary precautions to keep their properties and our roadways safe.  Please safely store and secure any outdoor furniture, holiday & lawn decorations, portable basketball hoops, garbage pails, etc.  Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.  We thank you for your cooperation.

Village of Lindenhurst Celebrates Arbor Day

Local Spotlight
The Village of Lindenhurst proudly celebrated Arbor Day by planting a new tree with the help of some of its youngest residents! Children from Caring & Creative Childcare joined the Village’s Horticulture Department in a hands-on tree planting ceremony that highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship. The enthusiastic young helpers eagerly took part by pouring dirt into the hole surrounding the newly planted tree, working side by side with Village staff.
