Mayor's Message
The Village of Lindenhurst wishes all our residents a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year. With COVID-19 Omicron variant again on the rise, residents are advised to exercise caution when gathering with friends and family, or being around people in public places such as stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The COVID-19 Omicron variant is very contagious, and can be spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small, liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing, or breathe. I know the “Pandemic burn-out” so many of us are feeling, but let me once again suggest: Follow the Governor’s mandate

Reminder: Village Taxes Due April 1, 2026

In the News
Village of Lindenhurst property taxes are due by April1, 2026. Please make sure your payment is submitted on or before the due date to avoid late penalties. If you have a mortgage with an escrow account, your tax bill will be mailed directly to your mortgage company.  Payment Options: In-Person – Pay by cash, check, money order, or credit card at Village Hall (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM).A non-refundable service fee of 2.95% applies to all credit card payments (both in person and online). This fee is charged by the credit card processing company and does not go to the Village.

The Village of Lindenhurst mourns the passing of former Mayor Tom Brennan

Local Spotlight
Mayor Brennan began his service to our community in May 1999, filling a vacancy as Village Trustee, and was elected to a full four-year term in March 2000. In March 2004, he was elected Mayor and went on to be re-elected in 2008, 2012, and 2016. He stepped down from his role in 2017, leaving behind a lasting legacy of leadership, integrity, and dedication during a transformative time in our Village. His commitment to service extended well beyond Village Hall. Mayor Brennan proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1969–1972 and was an active member of many
