Mayor's Message

A mask mandate for shops and other indoor spaces in New York State took effect on Monday, December 13th to confront a surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. Governor Hochul’s mandate requires masks to be worn in all indoor public buildings, unless the businesses or venues implement a vaccine requirement. The mask mandate will be in effect until January 15, 2022. At this stage, Lindenhurst residents have no other choice but to comply with the Governor’s mask mandate. Please be advised:Some of our main Village roadways will be affected by the Town of Babylon’s Soldier Ride tomorrow, kicking off from Town Hall on Sunrise Highway at 9:30 AM. Roadways in the Village that may experience delays include: North & South Wellwood Avenue Hoffman Avenue Montauk Highway Plan accordingly and expect temporary closures or delays. The United Veterans Council and the Village of Lindenhurst invite you to attend this year’s Veterans Day Remembrance Service. The event will be held at the Lindenhurst Village Square Park Gazebo (North Wellwood Avenue at East Hoffman Avenue) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
