Local Spotlight

The Village of Lindenhurst is moving to create more space for outdoor dining – including possible closures of some municipal parking lots – to allow patrons of local eateries to safely enjoy “eating out” as businesses continue to slowly reopen. Mayor Michael Lavorata and Trustee RJ Renna have been working with Lindenhurst eateries to temporarily allow restaurants to expand dining out onto public sidewalks, and into public spaces, through a streamlined administrative approval process. The Town of Babylon IDA recently held a press conference to announce their “Babylon Is Back” program for re-opening Babylon businesses, and to endorse initiatives like
