MESSAGE FROM THE VILLAGE

In the News

The Village is aware of an incident yesterday at Village Park involving the removal of certain parrot nests by a subcontractor of the Village. The nests were removed as part of an upgrade to the facility’s ball field lighting. The Village received complaints that the nests were not removed in a professional manner resulting in the loss of a number of parrots. We have reported the matter to the proper authorities for a full investigation. We have also demanded a complete report from the responsible contractor. We are deeply troubled by this incident and will advise you as this matter

ANNUAL HALLOWEEN FAMILY FUN DAY

Local Spotlight

The Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Rotary Club’s Annual Halloween Family Fun Day, held at Village Park, was a huge success, with hundreds of people enjoying an afternoon of Halloween fun. The family event featured horse and pony rides, hay rides, bounce houses, games, face painting, a DJ, hot dogs, beverages, and all types of other goodies! Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “We are a family-oriented community, and are always developing new plans to benefit our residents. I love Lindenhurst!
