COASTAL STORM BREWING

In the News

A Strong Low Level Jet with a Double Barrel Low will develop along the Coast on Tuesday. This system will feature periods of Heavy Rain possibly as much as 2-4 Inches with locally higher amounts possible. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued starting tonight at 8pm through tomorrow until 5pm. Winds 45-50 MPH are possible Tuesday evening. Minor to Moderate Coastal Flooding is possible especially during periods of high tide but will be based mostly upon Wind Trajectory. I will issue further updates if deemed necessary. Lindenhurst Recognized for Workplace Safety

Local Spotlight

For the second year in a row, the Village of Lindenhurst has been recognized by Comp Alliance, the Village’s workers compensation carrier, as a safe workplace environment. The Village was awarded with a check for their loyalty to Comp Alliance and continued decrease in workers compensation claims. The Village established a Safety Committee, which meets regularly, to work on ways to improve safety concerns, and implement safety programs and procedures. The Village is committed to keeping its employees safe, and continues to work at improving workplace conditions and minimizing workplace injuries. Picture here are (left to right): Village
