LINDENHURST LITTLE LEAGUE OPENING DAY
There are certain signs of Spring — birds start singing, trees start budding, and Little League baseball begins throughout our Lindenhurst community!
The Lindenhurst American and National Little Leagues’ traditional parades were back in full force on Saturday April 23rd, after having to scale down opening day festivities the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Opening Day ceremonies included a number of presentations by League Presidents Jason Peckholdt (American) and Bill Atkinson (National), with the first pitch thrown out by Mayor Michael Lavorata. The Lindenhurst and North Lindenhurst Fire Departments joined the parades with trucks shining, horns beeping, and bands playing to celebrate the dedicated kids and coaches as they begin another season of competitive fun.
