The Pride of Lindenhurst Award is presented annually in recognition of an outstanding contribution that inspires pride in the Lindenhurst School District. During a special session of the Lindenhurst Board of Education Mayor Thomas Brennan (left) received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his high level of commitment and dedication to the Lindenhurst Community. Marie Simmons (Left) and Karen Kanavas ( Middle) also received the Pride of Lindenhurst Award for directing twenty-three years of Lindenhurst Middle School plays. Deputy Mayor Maryann Wecklere (right) stated “It has been an honor to work with Mayor Brennan and we wish him happiness and health in retirement”.
