LINDENHURST D.P.W. SURPRISES YOUNG RESIDENT A sanitation crew from the Village of Lindenhurst recently met one of their biggest fans, two-year old Angel. Angel’s grandmother, Melody, had contacted the Village to let them know how much Angel loves trucks, and how he waits eagerly by the window on pick-up days to see the Village garbage truck in action, and to wave at the crew. September 100th Anniversary Event – Volksmarch

The Village of Lindenhurst, in conjunction with the Lindenhurst Historical Society, is excited to announce the September 100th Anniversary event! The Historical Society, who is celebrating its 75th anniversary, will be hosting a Volksmarch on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Registration begins at 9:00 AM and the walk begins at 10:00 AM. A Volksmarch is a 3.1 mile family friendly and leisurely walk from one destination to another where participants learn about specific details of landmarks and history of the Village.
