Village staff were on hand to support Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata as he was recently sworn in as 4th Vice President of the Suffolk County Village Officials Association Executive Board. SCVOA’S mission is to inform, support, and advocate on behalf of the 32 Villages of Suffolk County. Dozens of Civil War Buffs and Local History Enthusiasts took part in the Society’s Self-Guided Tour of the graves of Lindenhurst’s American Civil War Veterans interred at Breslau Cemetery Lindenhurst, NY – On Saturday October 28, 2023, under bright blue skies and amid the peaceful, manicured grounds of Breslau Cemetery, the Lindenhurst Historical Society hosted nearly 100 visitors; Civil War buffs and local history enthusiasts, who partook of the Society’s self-guided tour of the graves of Lindenhurst’s American Civil War Veterans interred at Breslau Cemetery.
