Event Volunteers Needed!

2023 is the Village of Lindenhurst’s 100th Anniversary! The Village of Lindenhurst 100th Anniversary Committee has an exciting schedule of events planned to celebrate our centennial. We are looking for volunteers that would be interested in assisting with these events. If you are interested in volunteering, there will be an informational meeting at the Rainbow Room, 293 Buffalo Avenue, on Saturday 12/3 at 10:00 AM. Please send an email to info@villageoflindenhurstny.gov with your name, email, and phone number if you plan to attend. All community groups are encouraged to participate and attend the meeting. STEVEN CASTIGLIONE EARNS EAGLE SCOUT RANK

Local Spotlight

During a recent Court of Honor Ceremony for Steven Castiglione, Mayor Michael Lavorata declared April 17th, 2024 as “Steven Castiglione Day” in the Village of Lindenhurst, and that all residents should celebrate Steven’s outstanding achievement as an Eagle Scout. For Steven’s Eagle Scout project, he helped beautify a local creek by planting four Butterfly Bushes and two Forsythia Bushes. Additionally, he built and hung two birdhouses with the help of his family, friends and fellow members of Troop 60.
