LINDENHURST VETERANS DAY REMEMBRANCE SERVICE

The United Veterans Council and the Village of Lindenhurst announce that this year’s Veterans Day Remembrance Service will be held at the Lindenhurst Village Square Gazebo (North Wellwood Avenue at East Hoffman Avenue) on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Please bring a chair to sit during the ceremony. Mayor Lavorata said, “The Village of Lindenhurst is proud to honor our veterans who have served in the United States Military. We look forward to seeing you there as we honor all who served our great nation.”

The Village Board recently acknowledged May 14th, 2024 as “Apraxia Awareness Day” inthe Village of Lindenhurst. Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is an extremelychallenging neurological speech disorder that affects 1-in-1,000 children. The disordercauses children to have significant difficulty learning to speak, and is among the mostsevere speech deficits in children.
