A MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA I want to offer congratulations to the Lindenhurst High School Class of 2023! We wish you all great success as you begin your next journey, and may you carry your “Lindy Pride” with you wherever you go!  It would not have been the beginning of summer without the Lindenhurst Memorial Day Parade, honoring Americans who died while serving in the armed forces. Please join the Village of Lindenhurst in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary at Lindenhurst Liberty Day on July 11th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM!The event kicks off at 12:00 PM at the Village Square with a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, a George Washington costume contest for kids and adults, and family-friendly crafts and games.From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Colonial Crawl Walking History Tour will take place throughout downtown Lindenhurst. Participating businesses will each represent a different time period in American history, with docents stationed at each stop sharing information about national events during that era

MAYOR LAVORATA INDUCTED AS SCVOA EXECUTIVE BOARD PRESIDENT

Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata was recently sworn in as President of the Suffolk County Village Officials Association (SCVOA) Executive Board. Having served on the Executive Board since 2022, Mayor Lavorata now succeeds outgoing President, Village of Brightwaters Mayor John Valdini. The SCVOA’s mission is to inform, support, and advocate on behalf of the 32 villages of Suffolk County.
