Dear Residents, As you are all well aware, on October 29 and 30, 2012, our residents were hit by a superstorm which delivered the most devastation we have ever witnessed. Hurricane Sandy ravaged our Village and our surrounding communities. 2024 GRAND MARSHAL THOMAS ALOISI — KOREAN WAR VETERAN

In the News
Thomas Aloisi is the current Senior Vice Commander of the Wade-Burns VFW Post 7279.  As a proud and patriotic American, and influenced by the selfless sacrifices of prior generations, after graduating from high school in 1951, Tom signed up to serve his country in the Korean War. Tom served for four (4) years with the United States Navy.  He did his Basic Training in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by Radio School in San Diego, California.  He was trained there as a Radio Communications Technician before being sent off to Yokohama, Japan. LINDENHURST RAINBOW SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER CELEBRATES 50 YEARS!

Local Spotlight
The Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Citizens Center recently held a “50 Years of Fun” day to celebrate their half-a-century of service to the seniors of our community. The carnival-themed party was a huge success with games & prizes, special crafts, music, food, and gift bags for each senior filled with goodies! The Rainbow Senior Citizens Center staff and volunteers, helmed by Senior Center Manager Dawn Shipsey, host a number of activities, including bingo, quilting classes, exercise classes, art classes, coffee, coloring and conversation clubs, horse racing, karaoke, movie days, luncheons, and special events and trips.
