CORONAVIRUS UPDATE #8 FROM MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA May 27, 2020 Dear Village Residents: Dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic these last few months has been – and continues to be – very challenging for everyone, especially older adults and people with underlying health conditions, who are the most at-risk against COVID-19. I want you to know that I, as your Mayor, and the Board of Trustees, along with our staff at Village Hall, Department of Public Works, and the Rainbow Senior Center, are working hard every day to be here for you, your families, and our Lindenhurst

The Village of Lindenhurst is committed to the safety of our residents, and their quality of life. Therefore, in an effort to keep the continuingly prevalent problem of cars illegally facing the wrong direction of traffic on our Village roadways under control, we are once again issuing this public reminder: New York Vehicle and Traffic Law – Section 1203 (Additional Parking Regulations) and Lindenhurst Village Code – Vehicles and Traffic, Chapter 185-83 (Additional Parking Regulations) state, “every vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon a two-way roadway shall be so stopped, standing or parked with the right-hand-wheels of such vehicle parallel

Holiday Season Free Parking in the Downtown

Local Spotlight

To help make your holiday shopping and celebrations a little easier, we’re offering free parking at all Downtown Village parking meters from December 2, 2024 to January 2, 2025! Whether you’re visiting local shops, dining with friends and family, or taking in the festive sights, you can park without concern for meter fees. Important: Meters on East Hoffman Avenue (High Street to Alleghany Avenue) will still require payment during this time. We hope this brings additional joy to your holiday season!
