A YEAR-END MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA What a busy year we have had here in the Village of Lindenhurst! The year 2020 has brought us many challenges and many achievements. Our Lindenhurst Community has come together whenever called upon to do so. To all of our residents — please accept my personal thanks for your support and co-operation during this year, even at difficult times. To our valued first-responders, ambulance company, firefighters, and Chiefs of the Lindenhurst Fire Department, most of whom are at the call throughout the holiday season to ensure our residents get help when needed

Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata and the Village Board of Trustees are honored to join the nation in celebrating May as Jewish American Heritage Month. “During May, we take the time to celebrate and honor the contributions of Jewish Americans in our history. Riddled with a legacy and collective memory of violent persecution across the globe, Jews have long found hope in America’s promise of freedom, justice, opportunity, and religious liberty. Memorial Day Parade Planning Underway!

As Memorial Day approaches, the Village of Lindenhurst is excited to announce that planning for the annual Memorial Day Parade is officially underway. This year’s event will continue the long-standing tradition of honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The parade and services will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 26, 2025. The VFW will hold its ceremony at Breslau Ceremony and proceed to Fireman’s Memorial Park. From there, the full parade will kick off at 11:00 AM and proceed west on Hartford Street and then head south on North
