Mayor's Message
Dear Residents, Although there is still some snow on the ground, Spring is just around the corner, and March is the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything our Village has to offer. From family-friendly events to seasonal activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Lindenhurst this month. This month, we have several exciting events for the whole family: Eggstravaganza – Saturday, March 14, 11:00AM-2:00PM: Enjoy games, activities, and an egg hunt for children throughout our Downtown Business District. St. Patrick’s Parade – Sunday, March 21, 12:00PM: Celebrate Irish pride down Wellwood Avenue with Grand Marshal Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

The Inc. Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Historical Society are Partners working to restore a Historic Community Icon – the WWI Gatling Gun

Local Spotlight
Fundraising to support the restoration is now underway with Bricks and Minifigs — Donors will receive a Lego kit to build their own Gatling Gun replica The Inc. Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Historical Society are pleased to announce their on-going effort to preserve and protect all things Lindenhurst with the restoration of a well-recognized and iconic community historic object –our WWI Gatling Gun- gifted in 1921 to Lindenhurst by the War Department.  In 1922, the monument containing the Gatling Gun was completed, standing at the intersection of South Wellwood Avenue and Montauk Highway – marking the southern “gateway”
