Tree Dedicated in Memory of Rainbow Center Employee

In the News

The Village of Lindenhurst recently dedicated a tree memorial in memory of Frank C. Prince, affectionately known as the Rainbow Senior Citizen Center’s “custodian and comedian”. Rainbow Center Director Barbara Poldino said “ it was a pleasure working with Frank and he will be missed by all our Seniors”. Over 75 people attended the ceremony including (left to right) Frank Prince, SR., New York State Senator Michael Venditto, Director Barbara Poldino, Deputy Administrator Douglas Madlon, Trustee Joan Masterson, and Trustee Maryann Weckerle.

Local Spotlight

In a small ceremony, Trustee Joan M. Masterson, Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey, and Lindenhurst School District Superintendent Daniel Giordano honored former Lindenhurst Student Kassidy Rieder on receiving the 2020 Nassau BOCES Education Partner Award. Kassidy is praised as one of the most devoted supporters of public education on Long Island and was one of 16 honorees to receive this award. Trustee Masterson said, “It’s always wonderful to see students from Lindenhurst go on to make a difference in their communities!
