Ukraine’s 25th Anniversary of Independence

In celebration of the Ukraine‘s 25th Anniversary of Independence from the former Soviet Union, Rev. Olvian N. Popovici and members of the Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church of Lindenhurst gathered at Lindenhurst Village Hall to jointly raise the American flag and the Ukrainian flag in celebrations of the Ukrainian peoples dedication to democratic principles and their unity in aspiring for a better life by securing the rights to free elections and non-violent civic initiatives. Local Spotlight

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey, and Lindenhurst Village Trustee RJ Renna recently spent the evening discussing local issues with the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce. Legislator McCaffrey said, “In our community, we pride ourselves on working together – the County, Town, and Village – to get the job done for the people of our community.
