Village Named “Tree City USA” for 32nd Year

Lavorata The Village of Lindenhurst was named 2015 Tree City USA. This is the 32nd straight year that the Village has received this designation in recognition of its urban forest management. Lindenhurst Village continues to earn this honor by making a special effort to preserve the thousands of trees lining the streets and the additional hundreds of trees located within Village Parks.

On April 8th, following a standing ovation for outgoing Chief Craig Santoli, the newly-elected Chief and Assistant Fire Chiefs of the Lindenhurst Fire Department were officially sworn in to office by Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata. Michael DeGregorio, Chief David Collins, 1st Assistant Chief Robert Santos, 2nd Assistant Chief Jonathan Cutolo, 3rd Assistant Chief Mayor Lavorata said, “Congratulations to our Chiefs! I cannot thank the members of the Lindenhurst Fire Department enough for their selfless and dedicated service to the Lindenhurst Community.
