American Flag Dedicated to WWII Veteran

In the News

Mayor Michael Lavorata and the Lindenhurst Village Board recently honored World War II Veteran and longtime Lindenhurst resident Harry Prodromides by dedicating an American Flag to be permanently on display in the Village Hall Board Room. Village Administrator Douglas Madlon said, “It is important that we continue to appreciate and honor our veterans not just on holidays, but every day.” Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle said “I am incredibly proud that the Village recognizes Harry for his many years of service serving our Country during WWII and as a Lindenhurst Fireman.”

Congratulations to Mary Romeo on her appointment to the Lindenhurst Planning Board. Ms. Romeo will fill the unexpired term of Andrew Gargiulo who has retired from the Board after many years of dedicated service to the Lindenhurst Community. Mayor Lavorata said, “It was an honor to appoint Mary Romeo, and I thank her for her willingness to serve. The future of our Lindenhurst Community depends on people like Mary getting involved and serving on the Planning Board.” Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle added, “Your central duty as a Planning Board member is a tough one; to determine how to balance
