American Flag Dedicated to WWII Veteran

Mayor Michael Lavorata and the Lindenhurst Village Board recently honored World War II Veteran and longtime Lindenhurst resident Harry Prodromides by dedicating an American Flag to be permanently on display in the Village Hall Board Room. Village Administrator Douglas Madlon said, “It is important that we continue to appreciate and honor our veterans not just on holidays, but every day.” Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle said “I am incredibly proud that the Village recognizes Harry for his many years of service serving our Country during WWII and as a Lindenhurst Fireman.”

LINDENHURST FIRE DEPARTMENT’S NEW LADDER TRUCK

Local Spotlight

In an effort to upgrade and improve the Lindenhurst Fire Department equipment, the Village has purchased a 100’ Heavy Duty Aerial Tower Ladder Truck. The former ladder truck was over 21 years old. Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “The new truck was designed by a committee of Lindenhurst Fire Department officials who conducted many improvements to make the aerial tower truck safer and more efficient.” Trustee Patrick Pichichero, who is the Village Board liaison to the LFD Fire Council said, “The LFD also received a $254,000.00 Federal grant to help fund the purchase of the ladder truck.” Trustee RJ Renna said,
