Mayor's Message
The Village of Lindenhurst in conjunction with the United Veteran Council will resume its Memorial Day Parade tradition after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Monday, May 30, 2022. The parade will kick off with a ceremony at Breslau Cemetery at 8:00 AM. From there, the parade will head west on Newark Street, turn south on Delaware Avenue, and turn west on Charles Street where it will stop at Lindenhurst Fireman’s Memorial Park. At Fireman’s Memorial Park, another ceremony will take place. The parade will then head west on Hartford Street, and turn south on Wellwood Avenue.

Reminder: Village Taxes Due April 1, 2026

In the News
Village of Lindenhurst property taxes are due by April1, 2026. Please make sure your payment is submitted on or before the due date to avoid late penalties. If you have a mortgage with an escrow account, your tax bill will be mailed directly to your mortgage company.  Payment Options: In-Person – Pay by cash, check, money order, or credit card at Village Hall (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM).A non-refundable service fee of 2.95% applies to all credit card payments (both in person and online). This fee is charged by the credit card processing company and does not go to the Village.

The Lindenhurst Historical Society will offer a preview of the newly renovated Freight House, part of the Village’s 1901 Restored LIRR Depot and Freight House Museum Saturday March 28, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Built in January 1901 as the third depot to serve the Breslau/Lindenhurst community, the Society will celebrate the buildings’ 125th Anniversary with the completion of a 2 year-long renovation project enhancing both buildings and the adjoining railroad hack. Lindenhurst, NY – The Lindenhurst Historical Society invites residents, history buffs, and railroad aficionados to take a “sneak peek” at the newly renovated Freight House, one of the three buildings that make up the museum complex at Irmisch Historic Park, located at the intersection of South Broadway and South Third Street on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
