The Lindenhurst Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Village of Lindenhurst, is once again pleased to host its annual Oktoberfest event on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 12:00 – 5:00 pm, in the Village Downtown. Everyone is invited to enjoy this year’s street-festival atmosphere, with North Wellwood Avenue being closed to vehicular traffic from John Street south to Hoffman Avenue. Bring your family and meet your friends for mingling on the street with outdoor dining, an array of local vendors, lots of delicious food, and our traditional “Beer Garden”. At a recent Rotary Club meeting, held at Goccia D’Oro restaurant, Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle spoke with Little Flower Shop owners Mary and John Frenna. Mr. Frenna is also a member of the Business Improvement District, the organization, along with the Village, responsible for the improvements to the holiday decorations in the Village. Deputy Mayor Weckerle and the Frennas discussed the success of the new decorations and the ongoing effort to improve the Village’s downtown, especially during the holiday season.
