A MESSAGE FROM LINDENHURST MAYOR MICHAEL LAVORATA On Sunday, September 11, 2022, the Village of Lindenhurst held their “Lindenhurst Remembers” 21st Year Candlelight Memorial Service. Many Village community organizations, members of the Lindenhurst Fire Department, and elected officials came together to pay solemn tribute to those who tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and to remember those who heroically helped in the rescue recovery efforts that followed at Ground Zero. Road Work Notices — JUNE 12 AND 15

In the News

The Village of Lindenhurst will be paving South Wellwood Avenue from Montauk Highway to Spring Street and Herbert Avenue from Wellwood Avenue to Delaware Avenue on Friday, June 12, and Monday, June 15, weather permitting. Please note that all motor vehicles must be removed from the street by 7:00 AM. If you will need access to your vehicle during the day, it should also be moved out of your driveway before 7:00 AM, as access may be restricted during paving operations. The roadway is expected to reopen in the late afternoon. The Village will make every effort to minimize inconvenience

Local Spotlight

The Village of Lindenhurst proudly hosted the “Loving Lindenhurst” Art Reception last night at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library, bringing together families, residents, and our Junior Mayors for a wonderful evening celebrating community pride. Attendees had the opportunity to view the many creative and heartfelt projects submitted by students, each showcasing the unique ways they love Lindenhurst. The event was a great success and a true reflection of the talent and spirit within our community. A special thank you to the Lindenhurst Memorial Library, and especially Library Director Lisa Kropp and Assistant Director Caitlin Sempowich, for their hard work and dedication
