WORKING TOGETHER FOR LINDENHURST

January 23, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Village Trustees Patrick Pichichero and David Collins regularly attend the Lindenhurst Fire Department’s monthly Fire Council meetings, reflecting the strong and cooperative relationship between the Village Board of Trustees and the Lindenhurst Fire Department.

Trustee Pichichero said, “We sincerely appreciate the spirit of cooperation that exists between the Village Administration and our wonderful Fire Department. Personally, I thank all of our Lindenhurst Fire Department members for their ongoing, selfless service and dedication to the people of the Lindenhurst Community.”

“I know firsthand the amount of time and effort our firefighters put in, not only responding to emergency and rescue calls, but also in the extensive training required to be prepared for the wide range of situations we face,” added Trustee Collins.

The Village Board of Trustees remains committed to maintaining open communication and a collaborative working relationship with the Lindenhurst Fire Department in support of public safety and community well-being.

JANUARY 23, 2026 SANITATION CHANGE

January 23, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

In anticipation of the impending snow storm, the following changes have been made to the sanitation schedule for next week:

  • There will be no sanitation or recycling pickup on Monday, January 26.
  • South side of LIRR sanitation will be picked up on Tuesday, January 27, along with R1 and R2 recycling.
  • North side of LIRR sanitation will be picked up on Wednesday, along with R3 recycling.
  • No grass/leaf pickup that week.

These temporary changes to the sanitation schedule allow Department of Public Works staff to focus on storm response and recovery efforts. Thank you for your understanding.

Safety First In The Village of Lindenhurst

January 23, 2026 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

Lindenhurst Village Trustee David Collins (right) and Fire Marshal Kyle McCarthy (left) are shown here hard at work reviewing building plans, bringing decades of real-world experience to the process.  As longtime volunteer firemen, they bring invaluable experience to the table—because they know what matters when seconds count. Proud to have leaders who put community safety first.
