Lindy American Little League Opening Day

April 18, 2024 by Katie McCaffrey Leave a Comment

On April 13th, the chilly, windy weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the North Lindenhurst American Little League (LALL) Opening Day Parade and Ceremony. The Little League Parade, a beloved tradition in the Lindenhurst community, signals the start of the baseball season.

Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “The Lindenhurst Village Board is grateful to all who help with the Lindenhurst American Little League, especially League President Robert Pacheco and all the LALL officers, managers, coaches, team parents, volunteers, and team sponsors. Also, best wishes to all our Little Leaguers as they grab their mitts, and bats to play ball and enjoy another season.”

Pictured here celebrating Opening Day with the Little Leaguers and Quaker Jack of the Long Island Ducks are (left to right):  Mayor Michael Lavorata, LALL President Robert Pacheco, Trustee Douglas Madlon, Quaker Jack, Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffrey, Babylon Town Councilman Anthony Manetta, Babylon Town Councilman DuWayne Gregory, Village Administrator Joe Barone, and Former LALL President Jason Peckholdt.
