The Village of Lindenhurst Rainbow Senior Center is happy to donate many handmade blankets to local hospitals on Long Island. These blankets are given to residents at The Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook and moms or dads in need at local outreach centers. These blankets are made by our seniors here at the center and by our home-bound seniors as well. Many of our seniors belong to the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) which recognizes and appreciates the efforts and generosity of our seniors. We will supply the yarn if you or someone you know would like to create blankets for donation.
